Wooden Hamburger Musical Instrument

Developed for Kiko-Kids, this wooden instrument set features a  hamburger castanet and french fry maracas. I don’t know what those instruments sound like, but I’m sure these versions will create some tasty sounds.

Hamburger Plate Keychain

Check out the great detail on this Hamburger Plate Keychain from  Jilliciouscharms on Etsy. Although one really does not need a knife and fork to eat a hamburger and there should be a ketchup bottle instead of a mustard bottle, it still looks pretty cool. ([])

George and the Burger Men Book

This sounds like a silly story:

“George and the Burger Men is the third book in the George series. In this clever children’s adventure, George and his new friend from next door, Isabella, fly into outer space in George’s magic spaceship. This is the same spaceship that seven-year-old George found hidden inside a tree in the backyard of his new home. George and Isabella aren’t sure where they’re going, but they end up on planet Burger! There they find the cunning Samurai Sushi Pirates setting fire to the planet – and all the other planets along the way – in order to burn all the food so everyone will have to eat sushi! King Bologna, King Hot Dog, and King Hamburger all band together to take on the Samurai Sushi Pirates. Of course, Captain Mock Chicken, the hero who looks after the Universe, comes to their rescue, right along with George and Isabella. Will they be able to save everyone in the universe from having to eat sushi?”

Rat Fink with Burger Doll

Who remembers the character called “Rat Fink” from the Hot Rod culture years back? Well here he is holding what probably was his favorite meal, a double cheeseburger.

Burger Jack Video Game

Created by PlayBerries for the Xbox Live Indie Games, Burger Jack looks to be a “Tapper” type game where you serve burgers to hungry customers.

“Are you ready for a rush hour frenzy at the local diner? Burger Jack is a fast-paced, casual arcade game suitable for all ages. Serve customers as fast as you can, and help the teenage boy, Jack, earn money to buy the gadget he’s been dreaming about.”

Intricate Hamburger Origami

Sent in by Emily, here is a very intricate version of an origami hamburger. Created by the duo of  Zim & Zou, a lot of detail and crazy colors makes this origami piece super cool and was featured on the cover of Icon Magazine.  Looks like they create other awesome origami pieces as well.

Vintage Big Burger Grill Toy

Grill a hamburger with a light bulb? Kids were able to do this with the Big Burger Grill by Kenner in the 1960′s. I suppose this was the boy’s version of the Easy Bake Oven (although there is a girl pictured on the box as well). Looks like it came with the necessities all packaged up, like the bun, onions, ketchup, mustard, etc…

Want it? Looks like there is one for sale at Time Warp Toys.

Plush Stitch with Hamburger

Here is yet another cool item that shows Stitch with his favorite food item. It’s not hard to see why an alien from another planet would love burgers so much. ([])

Hamburgers for Harajuku Mini

Gwen Stafani’s line, “Harajuku Mini” prominently features the hamburger. I came across this advertisement display at Target, and of course had to share it here. It looks like they built a pretty cool and quite large “lego” burger prop for this ad. Other products such as this toddler hoodie and all of their hang-tags have a similar burger logo on them. Does Gwen have a favorite burger eating spot?

Thanks everyone for checking out this site and following along. For 2012, I’m planning on scaling down a bit, since it’s definitely getting tougher to find more good burger content (and PostADay2011 is complete). Look out for updates every Monday (except tomorrow), Wednesday, and Friday with occasional goodies spread in here and there. Hopefully this will allow me to spend more time on creating better content. Le’ts make 2012 another “Year of the Burger”! ([])
